Community Institution Building

The key community institutions being promoted by TCL are women-based three-tiered structure of SHG, Village Organization & Federation. SHGs and the Federation have taken up collective economic activities, like shade net nursery and vermi compost, trading in lentil and maize, renting modern farm machinery, processing pulses in a Dal Mill and supply of quality agriculture Inputs from seeds to micro-nutrients. TCL has collaboration with UP State Rural Livelihoods Mission under which it has taken over the groups formed by TCL. Similarly, TCL also works with groups formed by UPSRLM to provide technical support for promotion of agriculture based livelihoods.
